Any have an idea what the prices look like this year. I haven't dug for several years and heard I have missed out on some really high prices. I have been thinking about getting my stuff out this season.

Found some this week end. Nothing large but it is fun to hunt. Picked the berries and planted in same general area. I have a suspicion that it has been hunted before at our woods.

Always trouble this time of year, people coming in off the highway or out of the HNF. Last year they were on horses.

Been keeping a very close eye on our woods and field. There are all kinds of people trying to go back there from Labor day until heart of winter. Ginseng apparently, drinking, poaching, camping, hunting artifacts, trying to plant drugs. The list goes on and on. So many people think other peoples land is open for the taking.

I agree with you - what is wrong with people that they think they have a right to trespass? I had the same problem at mushroom season with nut jobs showing up on my trail cameras. They were on my trails clearly marked NO Trespassing and I even weed eated the trails in the woods for my kids to play on and these guys just walk my trails and disregard the signs. Thank God my kids didn't run into them because I don't know what kind of people these trespassers are. Now it will be the ginseng hunters and soon after other deer hunters.

I'll tell you what, if any of you need me to camp out in your woods all day to make sure that nobody comes on your property, let me know. I should be free most days, Oct 1st -Jan 2.

Never heard of hunting wild ginseng? going to have to look around the ground when I check my trail cams and deer hunt this year. No idea if we have any on our property or not.
