Seeing people talk about the SHOT show, I figured I would see if anyone was able to go to the ATA SHOW last week. I was working in Grim Reaper Broadheads booth. I met a fellow INGO member who was with ArcheryCampUSA. We were very busy so I didn't get walk around to see much. Did get to stop and talk to a few friends with other companies and ordered a Last Chance bow press. A month from today I will be in Foley, Al for the ASA tournament.

A must have for me. A ThermaCell unit that runs off of a camping propane tank. At least 100 hours of run time. You can now buy pads separately for all units. Debuting in March at $39.95.

I made it the last day for a few hours. Recognized DEC in the Magnus booth and wanted to say hi and introduce myself but he was busy. Didn't really see much to get excited about but I didn't see 1/4 of what was there.

The main thing I saw was the muddy tower blinds. Those things are impressive, but at 4k+ they should be. Needless to say, I didnt place an order.

I know they have been out for a couple of years but I hadn't seen them until the show. Turkeyfan.com. I will be ordering one. I have been wanting a fan to stalk with and this won't take up a lot of space.

I was there Sunday through Thursday for the Arro Hot show and then the ATA show, representing Magnus Broadheads and touching base with various other friends and supporters of mine in the hunting industry. It is a fun week but pretty grueling.

I agree! I just wish there was more time to see things. During the few down times I speed walk until something catches my eye. I do enjoy the time to catch up with the people I only get to see once a year. By the end of the week I'm ready for rest, at least my shins are ready for a break!

Thought I would bring this thread back up. I was in the Grim Reaper booth Friday and Saturday. I don’t know if it was the weather or what but it seemed much slower this year. Also, not a lot of cool, new items. I never got to see it but heard a lot of talk about a new sight from Garmin. Also the new Primos ground blinds looked nice. Yesterday I was able to shoot a few different bows. I hadn’t done that in years at a show.

I was there Friday. Shot the new Elite Ritual which looks & feels a lot like my Option 6 but is much quieter. Those new ground blinds from Primos are just flat out awesome. Unfortunately I was basically told there was a 0.0% chance of getting one before turkey season. They're pretty pricey at $400 & $500 but just might be worth it depending on how someone were to use them.

Yeah, I don’t like hunting out of blinds so I would never spend that. However, I don’t like blinds because I hate feeling “closed” in. These blinds might change that feeling if I can see out all around.

I was there again as well, Wednesday through Saturday night. Fun but exhausting.

I also shot that Elite Ritual ... I was very impressed. I have been an Elite guy since 2010 and like the older bows. This new Ritual though is sweet enough that I might sell some of my old Elites off and pick one up.

As to that new Double Bull blind ... I don't know. Keith Beam of the original DB told us that they tried that same concept back in the day and it was an epic failure due to the amount of light that it lets in. I went over and crawled all over it and in it and I tend to agree. They say you cannot see from the outside in, but I could clearly see inside, especially if you were an animal approaching from the side and you will silhouette against the mesh. It just lets in too much light. The key to ground blinds with turkeys mainly has always been dark inside and black on black. Primos has you hang a couple black sheets in the back to give you a back drop, but there is just too much light in there, especially once you slot open the front window. And who wants to really deal with a couple of black sheets too? Also the entire see through stuff is out of some kind of PVC material that has a shine to it, weighs a lot, and it is hard to say how it will hold up to UV and time. I am and always have been a huge DB fan ... I currently own over a dozen DB blinds (both original and Primos verions) and I am not buying this blind. It might work for deer if you back it into a brush line and brush it in, but for an open field turkey setup ... no thanks.

I shot the Ritual and the Echelon 37. Both were really nice and fit perfectly. That’s never happened before. Usually the bows are too long or too short and you have to fine tune them. These were an exact fit and felt really good.
