My wife and I found a little at the in laws place. I couldn't believe how much was already turning. Some was completely yellow, while others still had a lot of berries. Hope to get out there again, as well check out another property or two. I just wish we would get some rain. It is like digging into concrete this year.

I have not got the motivation that I've had in the past. The last 4 years I've averaged 2lb 1oz dry. This year I'll be lucky to get 1lb. I miss the $800/lb pricing. $400/lb pricing at 2 pounds will get me roughly enough $ to get a S&W 625 Mountain gun in 45 colt. I better get in gear and start digging:rockwoot:New Motivation has been found.

    .
Found some holes today with a few berries scattered while I was moving a deer stand. At least I know there is some around.

I did throw the berries back in the holes. That's the first sign I've seen of ginseng on my place since I bought it.

Wrong direction unless he had made a 3 mile hike through the HNF.

    Good thought though.

I think this might be people from the radio tower easement.

I had a good dig after work. The sang on high ground around the hickory and black oak was tough digging. Left a lot of it due to the hard soil. Spending a lot of time and was breaking root. The north face with beech, poplar and maple was easy digging. 50/50 on green vs yellow tops. Some I marked early has gone to sleep early, couldn't find a trace of it.

I found a good bit for only a couple of hours. We had a little rain last night so I think it helped with the concrete hard ground. I found my biggest piece ever today too. It weighed 1.4 oz.
