Thanks! Living or dead? proof to hold on to hope till the last day. Shot him on the last day of muzzleblaster season a couple years ago. The biggest of three that came out together.

I got my TC Hawken .50 in 1986, when I was 24 and it's still the only gun I deer hunt with.

I shoot pyrodex at the range, but I only hunt with black powder, although I'm about halfway through my last pound of black powder and it's harder to find these days.

    Although hazmat surely bites.

I will say, sometimes you can get a few guys (say, here) to go together on an order. Hazmat split 4-5 ways is not so bad.

Cabela's always seems to have lots of powder in their stores if one is near you (I go to the Cincinnati one and have been to the Louisville store and they both have had plenty of powder).

FIL made me a flint lock, need to file the barrel so rear sight can be placed to fit. Once that work of art is complete, the new goal will be to pop a deer with it. This morning I'll be taking to not so traditional t.c. omega .
