Season just ended... and I just finished my Gun for next season. .300aac. my wife does custom decals, I like it! Some might think it’s ugly but made it just how I wanted it :): I have an odg magpul forward grip and a proctor fde sling coming too. Then all done until suppressor stamp comes back.

I think it looks nice, but I prefer single shots and lever actions for my hunting. I currently use a T/C Contender in .357 Mag handgun. This limits the distance I can comfortably take shots, but that is part of the challenge for me.

My search for next year will most likely be a lever in either 357 or 45 Colt. I would love a nice Ruger #1 too. I have used 30-30 and 44 Mag in lever actions, .308, 30-06, 7mm-08, and even a 223 in bolt guns on deer (all were legal where they were used) with good success. I have yet to get anything with a pistol, but am not giving up. I had thought about getting a 300 BLK chambering for my Contender, but can't justify the performance overlap with what I have. It would also have to be a pistol as I only hunt public land being new to Indiana and not having much time to contact land owners. Maybe down the road. A lot of people have excellent results with the 125 Nosler, and even bullets designed for the 30-30 in the 300 BLK.

i like it. Ready for next season to hurry up and get here.. anything you did to it special since it is a deer gun? Besides my decals and my stag lower... I went with the Procter sling so there is less chances for
metal on metal noise. Curious if you did anything cool maybe I overlooked

Not yet. I have a Strike Industry extended charging handle. I just threw a cheap scope on, so that will need to be upgraded before fall. Then, I might plastidip some of the metal contact point like the sling. Other than that I just need time behind the trigger.

Looks great, I really like the furniture colors and the decals!

I figured most would think the colors colors were ugly :dunno: but I built it just for me and I like it ... waited forever for the stag lower just to have the deer head on it
