Figured I'd get a thread opened up on this, if the weather stays like this it could be a epic season for them!! ( but I've been fooled before )

    So I have to ask.

I know I have heard two different sides to this but do morels grow after they pop up? The last years on the property all the morels we found were small and I was wondering if I was just being over anxious with my hunting?:dunno:

They quit growing after you look at them...

I've got a buddy that put mason jars over a few in his yard, they've gotten bigger .
I've left a few in the woods to pick the next week ,and they were bigger.

    Well..
As for the growing question...I am going to answer it this year!

The property we are on I don't have to worry about human predation so barring deer they should be safe....I will report back to the class once we start to see them in Hamilton county
