Hello, just moved to Lafayette, so I am wondering if there is any public outdoor ranges around the town. I do know there is Linden Conservation Club and Wildcat Valley club but they are both private.

    Thanks in advance!

For free I think the Jasper-Pulaski Fish & Wildlife Area shooting range would be the closest. It is about 55 miles north, between Medaryville and San Pierre. Take Indiana 43 north, then US 421 north.

You can join either LCC or Wildcat, I know LCC is $100 a year, no requirement to volunteer any time.

There is also Winimac FWA about 60ish miles NE of Lafayette. NWI Ingo and the DNR host an annual family fun day with mainly .22 rifles (one bench set up for larger calibers), skeet, and archery. The next one is a week from Sat. They also used to have a monthly meet and shoot during the summer but I haven't heard anything about those in a while.
