Wonder how big the boat was?
Last week I seen 5 people in a 10' jon boat on lake monroe.
The top of the boat couldnt have been 2'' above the water.
Dnr stopped them and gave them tickets.
Dnr had them stopped for over a hour.
Then sent them on there way,I couldnt believe it.

I heard on the news no one knew how to swim or had life jackets. DNR stopping them was not on the news.

I'm reminded of my trip to Mertyl Beech. The lifeguards were renting chairs and umbrellas. A guy was repeatedly getting knocked down by waves and waterboarded while trying to get out of the water. Seeing the lifeguard wasn't going to get out of his chair to get this guy to safety, I stepped in. But he did his job and collected revenue renting chairs.

EDIT- Post #3 was a separate unrelated incident. So DNR did not have contact with this group earlier.
