Has anyone gone dove hunting at either of these properties? I know it's late in the season too, but wanted to take my daughter dove hunting this weekend if we can swing it.
    Thanks!

I haven't hunted doves since shooting them out of the pine trees in our back yard with a bb gun when I was a kid, but I don't remember seeing many (if any) doves down at Monroe. Then again I wasn't looking for them.

I tried Atterbury years ago and the hunting was so bad it was comical. We tracked exactly one dove all day by the shots being fired at it as it flew through the area.

Years ago kid and I went late season dove. Sat by. Dead tree by a pretty sad remnant sunflower field. We had about a dozen come in, all singles.....in about 4 hours. I dropped 10.

Did see a nice buck hop out of the sunflowers.

    Was northern DNR property.

Very different than the fast paced type of hunting seen on opening weekend.
