Sad. Somehow they always catch these people. Don’t know how, but they do, and I’m glad they do.

Had a friend that had one in the back of his property. Built a huge nest. DNR would come out once a month or so and go back to check on them and write down information on them. Such a beautiful bird. Not sure why anyone would want to shoot one.

If it was a kid I hope he gets caught and learns to respect wildlife.

It if was an adult I hope karma pays them a visit in a big, hard, merciless way.

    I get that it's a symbol.
But it isn't like they're going extinct.

Now if the eagle shooting jackass is a liberal.................

That kind of idiot is more of a disgrace/danger.

To me it’s more the fact he/she shot an animal for no other reason than to shoot it. They weren’t eating it. They weren’t using its materials. A majestic animal died for no other purpose than fun. Life means something, as hunters we should respect what nature gives to us. I love deer and turkey hunting and will never shoot one just to leave it lay. All life is meaningful, we should value its meaning.

I shoot coyotes and groundhogs and leave them lay.
But they are shot under pest control.

Do agree that if something isn't a pest, or going to be eaten, that it should be left alone.

My sis lives in CO, she couldn't let her Sheltie outside because the eagle in their neighborhood would nail it.

Again, illegal...........but I do wonder if somebody shot it in retaliation for lost pet or livestock.
DNR proly has a report from somebody upset prior. Very few people do the SSS. Social media should have the culprit soon enough.

Of course some d*ckweed could have just shot it to be shooting it.

People in general really suck. Those that shoot eagles and those that don't.

Agree with all of this. Admittedly I forgot about coyotes in my last post. I wish I knew how to do the hides to sell, but i don’t so we leave them lay where shot. Coyotes are getting bad where we hunt, so are coons. Surprised we seen over 30 turkeys this weekend. Property has a couple bobcats on trail cam, a ton of coyotes and a lot of coons. Usually turkeys won’t stick around with that much going on, they didn’t seem too concerned with it.

Guy next county over a fur buyer.
He charged my bud 20 bucks to skin his yote.
Told him who to send it to.
Another 80 bucks and he got back a nice sleeve, soft tan, no stink. Pretty.
Had a regular and a light phase. Need a red and a black phase for the slam.

    I've helped skin two.
    Man do they stink.
20 bucks for somebody else to do it is a freakin bargain.

I enjoy venison. Cooked some of my buck up tonight.
But, it's getting harder and harder to shoot any of em.
Dunno if I've killed too much or it's too easy or I'm getting soft in my old age.

Yotes the only thing I don't mind blasting.
But even as a varmint, my job is to put em down and out ASAP.
I don't take a crap shot on any critter.

As long as venison taste good I’m not sure I’ll ever find it hard to shoot them. Nothing beats a good venison chili with pepper jack cheese on a cold night.
