Closing in on 60, 2 months ago I got bifocals.
No way I can run a double bead shotgun for turkey now (w or wo glasses)
Let me rephrase that..........I can run double beads with some effort, in good lighting, without glasses.
    Tucked in the shade..............nope.

    So.....

    maybe a 1-4X scope or a RDS

RDS...........willa Sig Romeo 5 handle 12 ga beating?
Like the idea of shake n wake.
Should make battery worry a non issue all season.

Leupold no longer does the turkey plex.
Will take reg and wide duplex scopes out to see how they might be used as range finders.

I don't want to drill and tap my beater 870.
Can do a saddle mount of just buy another gun and D&T.

FWIW the turkey shotgun scope was low power (around 1-4X and had a circle plex reticle of some sort, and was parallax for 50 or 75 yards).
It aint the current shotgun Freedom scope.
Used one on certain auction site is over 300.
Its a discontinued model (hence the price).

Proly Romeo 5 or Leupold 1-4x.
Couldn't find an Exp Supermag like I have already, was gonna pimp the new one.
Said screw it and got a scope mount (Aimtech) and will try an optic on that.
Still have months to find a project rig.
But my shotgun money got blown on a rifle.
    LOL
