    Part 2
I will be attending Scouting University in a week or so and hope to get my Baloo training so our den/pack can go on more campouts. The pack has camped only one time since I signed up in September 2010 and that was a campIN in the school cafeteria. Don’t get me wrong, we all had a blast with all kinds of games and activities, a movie and pizza, skits and staying up half of the night but it just isn’t the same as taking the boys on a real campout.

Lets hear how you others are doing in your packs and troops and also what you guys did when you were scouts and cubs….. if you can remember that far back.

    Yours in Scouting,
    Wolf den leader

Eagle Scout checking in here. Just found this group and joined up. Good to see the love of scouting around here. Grew up in southern Florida was in Troop 138 down there.

I am looking for a good Cub Pack right now to get my son involved in (he's 6) down in my neck of the woods, the Bloomington/Ellettsville area.

Hope to see some of you around the campfire.

@ SideArmed - You can find Cub Scout packs close to you by going to click on the ‘Cub Scouts’ tab and enter your zip code and click ‘Go’. A map will show you packs in your area along with contact info.

Good luck and sign up as a volunteer. You don’t have to be a den leader if that isn’t for you. There are plenty of behind the scenes positions that make the pack go.

I had planned on being as involved as possible. I carried on with my troop after getting Eagle as s JASM for a couple of years and really enjoyed passing on all that I had learned. My only hope is that my son loves scouting as much as I do.

    Thanks for the link.
