Local, or in state AK smith?

I have an AK that needs some work, and prefer to keep it local.

Gun in question is a 2011 vintage Wasr, gun functions fine, but has the dreaded front sight cant as well as the GB looking a little out of alignment.

I got this pretty cheap and I can't just leave it alone. Lol

What I want to do to the gun:

1) Get the GB aligned.
2) Have the front sight aligned and moved rearward.
3) Barrel shortened and rethreaded and the muzzle device (that I haven't chosen yet) pinned and welded, to legal length.

Any one local that can do that? How much we talking price wise?

I would talk to AllenM. 1, and first part of 2 are easy, but the rest will require a lathe.

Are we looking to build a Ak104???? What about using a amd-65 barrel?? They are 12in( orginal configuration) or made in 14.5in for use with the amd's orginal muzzle device...beats the cost of having one turned.....check out akbuilder's website

Wabbit, I don't think Allen has the press to mess with AK work.

I wonder, if it would be better to use the Venom Bolt on GB and just have the barrel shortened and threaded, then the pin and weld.

For what that gun is and what it would cost to do (having someone else do it) your better off buying a new AK that fits your want list

I still want to get the GB and frontsight aligned, my OCD will not let that pass. lol

i have too agree there are far better setups out there now to convert.... plus you would get a dimpled reciever
