Milled a custom M&P slide last week for a local police officer. Removed the labeling on both sides of the slide, cut the ports, and machined a shaddow-box in the top of the slide, aft of the ejection port. The cerakoting color is "Cobalt", and was done by Applied Ballistics here in Lafayette. Applied Ballistics does an awesome job of cerakoting! Andy Cree

Thank you CavMedic! The shadow box, or tray as I have called them in the past, only serves to give that empty space behind the ejection port some aesthetic value.

Thank you all. In regards to the pen and holster, I am not sure. The picture was provided by customer after the firearm was delivered. As far as the purpose of the porting, it is mainly for aesthetics. There are some tangible benefits to reducing a slides weight, but not necessarily quantifiable with these type of customized factory slides. That having been said, the front porting also doubles as a good place to get a solid purchase when press checking.

Is it inappropriate to ask what this cost? I just got an M&P9 M2.0 and would love something like this.
