Picked up a pre-B CZ 75 and it's pretty nice mechanically, but the finish is pretty much shot and there are a couple of patches of rust.

I'm thinking about refinishing it, and am looking at the cerakote route, but also thinking about re-blueing it.

Any INGOers do reblueing, including prep? The rust spots can probably be polished out, sort of?

As far as dealing with this sort of problem, better to go cerakote or reblue? :dunno:

I've blued a few surplus guns, the problem i have ran into alot is machine marks. Takes a ton of polishing to remove them, looks crappy if you dont.

    Thinking of cerakoting now.

Starting the disassembly, and the inside of the frame in the magazine well is rough. And wondering how I'm going to get the bushing out. :): Nothing like disassembling your gun to get to know it...

One of our members (I thought it was the Master Chief, but maybe it was someone else) has a Cerakoted CZ75 that looks very well done, I think by AllenM.
