I recently acquired a surplus CZ 75 pre-B from Aimsurplus. It's very used, but also very smooth-shooting. I have slowly been disassembling in preparation for cerakoting, but have finally run into The Part That Shall Not Be Budged.

The barrel bushing seems to have become one with the slide. Any tricks to removing these?

I also note that CZ-USA does not sell slides or bushings online, which seems a wee bit odd.

Don't really want to go with a new one, as there's no slop in the current set-up.

    Suggestions?

There's no need to remove the bushing unless you intend to replace it. If you decide that you absolutely must remove it I suggest you talk to the Wizard. He has removed and replaced several for me and others.

I'll just leave the bushing in...

Now, how to remove stubborn hammer pins? Using a starter punch, and got the hammer strut pin out, but the pin holding the disconnector isn't budging at all. Thinking some sort of press would do the trick?

Based on the pictures you shouldn't have any trouble with the front sight or bushing if you decide to change them. Again, and I can't emphasize this enough, you really should talk to the Wizard. I think he can answer most of your questions and save you a lot of frustration.

Thanks all! I'm finally done stripping it down, and managed to only make a small gouge [STRIKE]driving[/STRIKE] pressing out the rear sight. :xmad:

    Now it definitely needs cerakoting...
