    Just finished up checkering a Springfield Armory 1911 frame with 20 LPI checkering. The frame is off to be hard-chromed.

    Are you using a fixture and machine cutting or going old school and cutting it with files by hand? Either way, it looks great!

    I am a little late on posting the pics after the hard chrome. Here are a couple. The finish is "brushed" and has a slight polished look to it. DocIndy - Machine cut on the mill with single point file cleanup. THank you! Andy Cree

    Thank you for the kind words. Throttletony, this was just a frame that I checkered for a customer in New York. He wanted the grip high-cut, checkered, and then hard chromed. It was not one of our complete builds.
