So I plan on buying a CZ550 in 458 Lott and having the barrel shortened to 20 inches. I was wondering how difficult this would be as this rifle has the unique front sight arrangement and I would like to retain that. Also I figure I would loose about 200 fps, and would be interested to here comments regarding that. lastly is there a gunsmith someone could recommend for this. I currently have this rifle in 375HH and it is really too long for fast handling and the dimensions on the 458Lott is the same. I would probably also have the stock reduced about 2 inches and a premium sissy pad installed.

Found a cherry of a 416 rigby with a 22in barrel so I ended up buying that, a lot of quality custom work already done. Can't wait to get it and see how she fits.
