    Here are a couple of pics of the magazine base plate notch after it was cleaned up with a file. I will likely take the time to setup a cutter in the mill to do these to save a bit of time in the future. Using a file on a single frame is OK, but too time consuming on multiple frames. I will Dykem the frames and clean up the machine checkering with a few light file strokes per line to make them extra grippy!!

    Have the transition lines blended between the original frame lines and the "high-cut". Not only is is aesthetically pleasing, it feels a lot better in the hand as well.

    It is aggressive and is the mainstay line per inch for most competition guns, though would be just as useful for a carry gun.

    I've held a few competition 1911's. They are rough, but that is what's needed.

    Great work though Andy. I love following your builds.
