I am starting this in hope that there will eventually be an INGO AR 10 lower group buy.

I have never built an AR and certainly not an AR 10. I will have a lot of questions about what parts are compatible and such.

I googled cold rolled Ar 10 barrel and this came up.

    https://www.pmarmory.com/ar-10-18-inch-barrel-p/pmachfcl762.htm

I would to build a precision, sub MOA, tack driver, but I would not know if it was what I want or not.

What is the optimum twist for .308? Is 18" a good length for that?

Where to get the upper receiver? Which is the best trigger group?

    And on and on.

    Tagged for interest.

I recently made an "AR10" impulse purchase from PSA. I was aware of their proprietary design, but the price was right. So far I'm more than happy with accuracy, but I think I would like to build a more standardized version if that really exists.

You'll read that not all AR10 receivers are standardized. PSA has their own and won't fit DPMS and others.

I'm in the same boat trying to figure out just where the heck to begin, but I'll put up some links that I've read and maybe you already have too.

The POF revolution looks like exactly what I want, but dang expensive.

I heard this as well, and took it for granted.
Then, last month, on an impulse buy, I purchased a new DPMS .308 stripped upper receiver.
When it arrived I pulled my PA10 out of the safe and tore it in half.
I put the new DPMS upper on the PA10 lower and it fit like a glove.
It fit as well, if not better, than the PA10 upper does.

I don't know why people say they won't fit.
    Mine does.

If - INGO does a group buy I would asume that they wil not get a propritary style.

I dispise propriatary. I love the Mossberg MVP 308 Patrol design, but will not buy it because... propriatory mags!

I thought the Mossberg MVP 308 used both SR25 mags and and M1A/M14mags....

I was told recently by LGS that it did not and was propriatary.

I stand corrected. Never assune that the LGS salesman knows what he is talking about.
