A Winchester 1906 followed me home yesterday with a detached magazine tube, very sad buttstock and a worn out bore. Anyone know where I might find a barrel for an 1890?

boresnake won't touch over a 100 years of lead head rounds.......you need a good stiff bore brush or a wore out one with copper chore boy pot scrubber strands wrapped around it and work the bore then and i bet some rifling will start to show up.......

i have recovered many many leaded bores this way......

Numerich has been sold out of barrels for these as long as I have been in business. You might get lucky on ebay or gun broker, but you'll be buying someone else's problem.

IMO, best bet if you're going to do it is to reline it.

That is, if it truly needs it.

I have an octagon barrel for an 1890 that still has some rifling left. I agree with everyone else though that you would probably be better off having it relined.
