Does anyone in the Bloomington/Ellettsville area have tip up Beretta .22 or .25 magazine that I might look at the base/floorplate in person? (or possibly another brand tip up .22
I have a friend with a Beretta 89. Finding extra mags is a pointless exercise in futility. We know that the 87 mags with fit in the gun sans the 87 baseplate. I am trying to find a workaround before hacking away at the 87 baseplates on the two 87 mags that Beretta sold him (minor modification my a*s*). Anyway I saw some of the baseplates on ebay for the tip up mags and am hoping to see if this could work as a replacement for the 87 mags so that they would work in his model 89.
If you have tried this with success let me know. If you can meet up and let us temporarily swap out the bases it would be much appreciated.
    Thanks in advance!
