How to get around buying a custom ground barrel cutter.
3/8" bit which is very common is sized .375. 1911 specs call for .365 when cutting for lower barrel lugs. I have not broke down and bought a.365 or had one custom ground yet so I thought I would share this little video of how I get correct width.

I am using a .250 (1/4") bit and programming the mill to cut to .365 width a .1825 radius for the para ramp impact surface. The lower shelf has already been cut and the after the barrel if fit the bed will be adjusted for timing

Nothing really special but I wanted to share.

This is going on a custom 1911 with a Stan Chen Magwell build. We took some time yesterday and fit the slide and frame and did this barrel relief.

Oh, we think it's cool, but a lot of us, like me, can't comment cuz we have no idea what all goes into a custom build.

I always click on Allen's threads and drool profusley, but rarely comment because it's so far above my head I can't add anything to the conversation.
