Recoil Pad

Does anyone close to the Indianapolis area shorten a wooden shotgun stock and fit a recoil pad ?

Does anyone close to the Indianapolis area shorten a wooden shotgun stock and fit a recoil pad ?

I would use JM Gunsmithing in greenwood. He has worked on mine and friends of mines guns several times and has always done great work.

JM refuses to do a recoil pad. They had a bad experience with a customer.

Call Indiana Gun Club..........they gotta know somebody good.

Can't be that difficult, I put one on my Marlin as a cheap method to lengthen the stock.

Oversized pad........shouldn't be too tough.
But folks screw up the wood cut, the profile grind, or circumferential flare.
I think many go out of their way to do a poor job LOL.
