Rebarrel...... the 22lr liner is around $100 , the chamber reamer is around a $100, plus the cost of the drill and loc tite for the liner.....and if you don't have a lathe to recrown and face the chamber end, a gunsmith (or machinist) will probably charge around $100 for those jobs.......... brownells or midway should have a drop in barrel......

    Just my 2 cents

I could be very wrong here, but I dont think the 452 is as easy to re-barrel as the new 455 is. My thought would be sell the current rifle, and buy a new rifle.

I wouldn't attempt to rebore it myself or rebarrel it, I don't have the tools or skills. Rebarreling is probably the best option and less costly. More study is needed I think.

I dont know about re barreling a rimfire, but I've re barreled many centerfire, and it runs about 600 bucks. You can easily buy a cheaper rifle for the cost of a good centerfire rebarrel

Buy some Hornady Mach2 ammo and blast some squirrels with it. Shame to take a perfect squirrel rifle and make it LESS capable.

If I didn't have a Kimber Pro Varmint and an Anschutz 1702 and a Contender Carbine all in Mach2 I'd take it off your hands.

452 is not an easy swap. Definitely a gunsmith job.

We have a stainless heavy barrel Chipmonk in Mach 2, fun little ground hog rifle.
I still have a brick or so of Eley blue box ammo.

CZ 452s in mach 2 are kinda rare and command a premium. I had a 452 American with a light maple stock in mach 2 and traded it with a trade value of $600. If you don't care whether it's a 452 or a 455, sell it and buy a 455 varmint with cash left over for ammo.

I've done some more reading and you are correct, the M2 has increased in value quite a bit since I bought it . I got it for a close out price and now it's worth $250-$300 more.

Truth. My last BLANK was $450.

...and incidentally, the last rimfire blank I bought was ALSO north of $300....great steel though.

Yea.....this right here. If you convert a 452 Mach 2 into a .22, that would be blasphemy and kinda shameful.

Just get a brand new 455 and if you want more barrels for them, they're designed to be changed out
