After recommendations here I took my Smith 27 down to AllenM to have it drilled an tapped for a scope base. I could not see the sights well at all and the only recourse was to sell it or mount a scope or red dot. Allen had the work done just a couple of days after dropping it off and that even included New Years Day! Add to that Allen was very prompt at answering my e-mails. I tried it out last Sunday and shot it much better and a lot farther than I did last time with the open sights.
    Thanks Allen!

The man is the consummate perfectionist whether doing auto body repair or gunsmithing. You simply can’t go wrong taking your car or your gun to him.

Well to be fair this one was done by Stymie that works for me a couple days a week. Yet on my behalf I have trained him:) But he is pretty sharp and deserves a lot of credit for his abilities as well

Thanks Allen for the credit and compliments!

Allen has trained me well. Due to his training. If I'm on the project, you can expect the same AllenM quality of work!

Thanks to you as well Stymie! Was going to go a second round at the range tomorrow but will hold off until next weekend. My eventually try a 1X Burris on there like I have on my 686. Or maybe a Burris Fastfire as I have base for that too.
