Quiz question: Why won't my safe/fire switch rotate between safety and fire. It is stuck in fire position. Not an AR (10/15) guru.

Any direction you can give me would be greatly appreciated.

It was charged yesterday while out shooting and wouldn't function/cycle. My son lubed it up and in cycles now. Will test function at the range next time out. The fitment on must be tight.

Didn't have lube at the range.

    Is it new?
A lot of those new detent pins are a little sharp and take some breaking-in.
It does need to be charged to turn to safe.
That's the nature of the safety. Just the way it's built.

If the safety lever is stiff, try working it off and on a few times.
