My brother has a Model 92 he inherited from our Grandfather. While my brother is otherwise occupied in a whirlwind tour of interesting places around the world courtesy of Uncle Sam I'd like to work on this little pop gun and stop the corrosion and decay of the wood. I'm not talking a full gunsmith level restoration, just trying to stop the current damage and preserve it for future enjoyment.

I'm not qualified to wrench on this thing, I'm not even going to try. I can however, (with some guidance from you fine folks) prevent things from getting any worse and that's exactly what I want to do.

It functions fine and shoots well so there aren't any concerns there.
