Have been thinking about converting a S.S. .40 colt commander to 10mm
Schuemann makes integrally comped barrels in .40, but not 10mm
Could these be reamed to 10mm?
One of these comps should reduce some of the recoil for a host commander without increasing length.
    Thoughts?

My 10mm's bark like junk yard dogs. I like them.
I am not real sure I would do this with the Colt. I could be (and have been before) wrong in an assessment but I have memories of a couple of Delta's with broken frames.

This. Quite a bit of beefing up of the structure between the original DE and the current model because of that frame cracking, and a full size has more travel within which to damp slide motion. It might end in tears

    Mouse,
Have you ever fit one of the schuemann hybred-comped barrels?

A comped barrel would help cut down some of the abuse to the frame odviouly you would have to spring it differently and a two stage recoil setup would add a little addtition cushion.

If you want to do this or a hybrid barrel let me know, I would be glad to assist.

Reaming from 40 to 10 isnt to hard but installing a hybrid barrel is a bit of work. I have done several and have one on my bench I am doing now.
