So I have A Springfield armory xdm 45 and the sights if anyone owns one sucks and I want to upgrade them and put a holoson sight on but I was told by Hoosier armory that it has to be milled at ZR tactical solutions and it looks like they charge a lot and I was wondering if anyone local could do it cheaper? Really appreciate any help

someone will probably bring my name up. I have done a couple and IMHO best way to go is to mill the slide for one of these plates. https://shop.powderriverprecision.net/PRP-Low-Mounted-Optic-Plates-1-for-XD-XDM-PRP-SM-1.htm

Due to the slide design you can not mill very deep and bury the optic like you can in other slides but it still works fine.

However, I am backed up until next year, I would pay ZR and have it done right if you want it bad enough. :twocents:
Or buy and optic ready pistol.

    Check DP Custom Works.

I had them do a slide and it turned out great. They don't show your pistol but contact them and ask. They are expanding.
