Sold Price reduced to $900
Multiple offers have come in, but none close enough to win the prize.
I am selling this for a 74 yr. old friend who is a collector, all-around gun enthusiast & shooter but is trimming the safe.
With owner's permission, I took it to the range and put 4 cylinders through it.
I included a range pic of 6 rounds at 21' just for a function check for this gently-used classic.
As smooth as you would expect, and a good-looker as well, which is why people buy these classics.
S/W Model 48-3, 22 Magnum, K-22 Masterpiece, 8 3/8" barrel, Pre-lock.
Serial number indicates manufacture year was 1975.
Specifications:
- 6 rounds
- rare 8 3/8” barrel
- Bluing is in good shape
- note the the condition of the turn line
- target rear sight, micro adjustable (for both windage and elevation)
- original checkered walnut Magna grips.
- hammer and trigger are attractively color case hardened according to SW tradition, rather than blued, for a bit of subtle contrast
- top of the hammer spur is aggressively machine checkered, with the tip of the diamonds left sharp
- S&W called the .22 WMR the "22 M.R.F." (Magnum Rim Fire) and stamped the barrels of their Model 48 revolvers accordingly.
Must have LTCH & IN license.
I live in Wannamaker which is NE of Greenwood (outside E465) near Franklin Central H.S.
Owner will travel to meet w/i reason.
