Found this video while looking at P99's, I have had a similar experience and it about made me cry. Anyone have a similar situation to this?

An older Buddy of mine, Marine Corps Vet. (Vietnam, if that dates him?) is starting to have a "Grip" problem.
Twice in the last couple of weeks, I have handed him one of my Smith revolvers, and he DROPPED them on the floor!! Both times were on a carpeted floor. No damage..
Guess what---I NO LONGER hand this man one of my $6-800.00 guns....Bill..

Oh man that would suck, and I don't blame you!

Reminds me of a similar story from a few years ago, friend of mine handed another friend of mine a S&W 66-2 in stainless steel to look at, other friend began twirling it on his finger like a cowboy gun, dropped it, and it landed into a pile of gravel rocks!

My other friend who had the gun didn't mind much, no scratches left as far as we could see and he said something along the lines of how it's a Smith and built like a tank.

those signs are aluminum, maybe he went home and found that it wasnt as scratched as he thought, maybe not

Heh, maybe it left aluminum on the finish rather than the other way round. Not really, the aluminum can scratch stuff.
