own no 1911's currently, budget isnt realy to big of a issue....

Well in that case, get a Wilson Combat and be done with it! :rockwoot::laugh:

If you're looking for a quality mid-level production gun, I would at the Springfield Armory Loaded models. A step up from there would be the TRP.
I also like the Colt 70 Series and the Rail Guns.

You will of course get a bunch of different answers.

My new favorite .45, even over my 1911 and my Glock, is the Smith and Wesson M&P45. 10+1 capacity with changeable palm swell/backstraps. I have one with the 1911-style thumb safety and I can barely bring myself to shoot or carry anything else and this is coming from a very big fan of Glock and the 1911.

I have a Colt CCO (conceled carry officer) it's great already has all bells and whistles others add on ( Houge grips, beaver tail, extended thumb safety, etc) and it is right size for carry. They don't make them any more but there used ones out you might be able to find.

I carry my G21 daily and can't recommend it highly enough. If you're looking for dependable function, I suggest a glock. If you want that + something good looking in your holster 1911 is your best choice IMHO.

Look at Springfield. They have 1911's, plastic revel model guns, whatever you may like.
Para-Ordinance has several models in 1911 that are 7+1 single stack to 14+1 hi-cap.
So many quality pieces available. Shoot a few different ones. See what you like.
