I have made a tenative deal to trade my services for an Israeli Military Industries IMI Desert Eagle in .44mag.

The box it comes in states the Deseert Eagle available in .357mag .41mag .44mag and .50Ae.

I assume I can buy a replacement slide and mags to convert the .44 into a .357. Is this correct, and if so, where can I find the .357 conversion? What do those run?

You'd need a magazine, bolt, and barrel for the 357 magnum.

50ae and 44 magnum use the same bolt, so different magazine and different barrel.

No, but funny that you ask. I'm buying (working it off) it from a shop that had it up for consignment sale.

A guy came in and bought it, then brought it back the next day saying it was too big and heavy to carry and he wanted something smaller.

REALLY? I can not believe that ANYONE could pick this thing up and actually think it's ging to be a carry piece.

I think you could anchor a boat with it!
