Yes to shooting the 32 S&W long in the Nagant without the replacement cylinder. The case will swell but the long has low pressures and shouldn't be a problem.

Just a few things picked up along the way from other posters since I got the 41. Here is a neat link ---> Nagant Revolvers

So is the proper designation 7.62x38 Nagant or 7.62x38mmR... I keep seeing both being thrown around on the web and it appears 7.62x38 Nagant is correct, as that is what the cartridges I bought say. (I'm just trying to see if I can find the stuff cheaper online then what Bradis had it for, if I'm going to wn a gun... no matter if the ammo is common or the most exotic, I want at least 500 rounds for it... 50 down, 450 to go)

I have considered one myself and if I saw one for $90 locally, it would likely go home with me. I'm not looking, but really, if I see one...

I'm in love with it, but I usually am when I bring something home... maybe I'll shoot it when eagle creek opens back up.

Have had good results loading using 32-20 as parent with a 78gr. lead round nose, .312 or .313 diam. and Lee dies.
