I just purchased a new Kimber. Super Carry Custom HD. Should have it in hand in a couple more days. It has the Kimpro finish on it. What do I use to clean it up with after shooting the gun? This was an expensive investment for me, so I want to take real good care of it.

    Thanks,

From what I can gather KIMPRO is just as durable as any other factory finish. It should handle any reasonable CLP type solvent just fine.

I dont recomend carb & choke cleaner, brake cleaner, gasoline, or kerosine.

But then again those really are not resaonable solvents for a firearm LOL.

Any sort of typical cleaner will work. I use breakfree and ballistol primarily, but hoppes or FP-10 will work too. As for brake cleaner, my friend uses it on his SIS and it has had no impact in the finish.
