When I purchased mine, the dealer stated how great it was on 'CCI AR Tactical' ammo, so I picked up a box.

I'd tried some 555 Winchester through it, and did have a malfunction (Failure to feed) in maybe 30 rounds. I don't really remember, because it was a while ago and since than I run that CCI through it exclusively. I've never had a malfunction with it so far (knock on wood) in about 600-700 rds or so.

Ran it through my first FNS 2 nights ago flawlessly

Are you referring to the rifle or the pistol? They are both identified as "M&P22s" if I'm not mistaken. :dunno:

I've found that the pistol is not ammo picky, but it does not run well on lead rounds. It fouls out the barrel very quickly. I recommend ONLY shooting jacketed ammo through it and preferably round nose if possible. CCI Mini Mags, Federal bulk pack, etc. all run great in them.

I don't have any personal experience with the rifle version to speak of.

The .22 rifle is normally referred to as the 15-22

My M&P22 isn't necessarily picky about ammo, but it doesn't like to be too dirty. I can run my Rugers forever without cleaning, but it likes to be cleaned every couple hundred or it decides to not run very well.

Most 22 handguns are a bit pinicky.
American Eagle doesn't seem to work in most of my pistols.
Try giving the pistol a good cleaning. And lubrication.
Pay attention to the striker, and its path.
Bring a coupole, or 3 boxes of different ammo.

Mine will eat anything 200 rounds Fed. Bulk unsuppressed and roughly 350 rounds suppressed. CCI sub-sonics 200 suppressed. Not one malfunction or cleaning. LOVE IT!!!!

The pistol had no problems with Winchester Wildcats. It ran through 100 rounds flawlessly. I then ran some Remington Thunderbolts through it, and, well, it wasn't great. About one (1) out of every four (4) rounds misfired. . .Looks like I'm gonna pick up some CCIs and give those a try.

Good point . . . If the firing pin and path are getting gritty, that may cause enough reduction in force that the round will not fire. I'll take the gun apart tonight and investigate further.

I've had some problem with thunderbolts before. Like I said, try different brands out. Take notes. And make sure the gun is clean/lubricated.

    22 rifles aren't as picky.

The only bulk ammo mine runs without a problem is Remington golden, (I know go figure :dunno: ), all my other .22's seem to hate that stuff.
