Anyone see the the Lugers at Blythe's in Valpo? They are awesome. I have my Grandfathers from WWI. These are really cool. Supposedly they are on consignment from the former owner of RangeMasters in Chesterton, Custom work as I understand.

Yeah, .40 S&W FMJ was $18 and change per box. Ended up at Walmart for ammo - $28 per 100. Anywhere cheaper around here?

    Went shooting there Monday.

You have to go back in time for cheaper ammo, not into the future. You went the wrong way.

Did you get me one of those Lugers?

    Could be anywhere
I bought mine from the Shotgun News back in the late 80's...for like 450 bucks IIRC. They were found a crate full in storage at SAKO in Finland; probably used there during the Winter War, serviced and put away to wait for me :rockwoot:.

Nice, Thor. My dad bought a nice Erfurt off a guy back in the early 60s, which (the story goes) was taken off a captured German lieutenant in WWII. The old man says he paid all of 30 bucks for it! It's still in the family collection. I'd dearly like to fire it, but then the thought of having something break on it makes me feel a little queasy....

A true Luger (P08) every part is serial numbered.
I picked one up while stationed at Weisbaden AFB. in 1964.
Two parts were scratched numbers. The sear and sear plate. The second Mag.
The holster was marked for a P38.
Being getting up in age. I sold it to a fella in German reenactment group.
Did not want it to go into a melt down with my death.
