I've already got a PM in to a 'smith...

Anyhow, I need to exchange the factory "bolt stop pin" with a new one as part of the Majestic Arms Speed Strip kit that I bought.

But...the pin won't budge for me. Just can't get it. And if I keep at it, I'm going to ruin the whole shebang and then be hosed.

See this PDF for reference: http://www.majesticarms.com/sitebuildercontent/sitebuilderfiles/InstallationInstructions.pdf Specifically Figure 5 on page 3 / Step 9.

My pin appears to maybe possibly staked. Probably not the right word as it's not impacted from the edge, but more of center-punched to mushroom it out on both ends to hold it in place.

I'm going to have the part with me tomorrow - I'm going to be in / around Whitestown, Avon, and Monrovia tomorrow at various points. May have to be in Monrovia on Thursday instead depending on how my first two stops go.

    So... Help??!?

    Thanks,

    -J-

Hummmm... well, do you have a small drill bit that you can just take the edge off one side of the "mushroom"
then drive it out with the proper size punch from the same side?

As it turns out... My equipment just sucks.

I just wasn't able to do it with the meager tools that I have.

A buddy did it in 30 seconds...
