    I was shooting my 625-10 Sunday in a concealed carry shoot.

    After the first run I noticed the cylinder became stiff to turn and figured some crud had built up and when I got home after the match I went to clean it and found this...

    Yep...frame cracked bigger than the Grand Canyon. No repairing that boo-boo. Upside is S&W is sending a call tag for repair...the wait for the resurrection begins.

    Agreed, that is clearly a failure of manufacturing. My condolences on your loss, I hope the mothership in Springfield comes through for you.

    Don't be surprised if the replacement does the same thing. S&W ain't what they used to be. Before they started to "crush fit" their barrels into the frame they were threaded in and pinned. They should have never stopped doing that.
