So I know right off the bat, I'm going to the "why" questions...so I'll get those out of the way
and say because it's mine, and because I felt like it :rockwoot:

I decided to stipple my G4 G22 today. Didn't really like the grip texture (even though that is what most people love about the Gen4's),
and I was bored, and had the equipment to do it.

Did more of a golf ball pattern on the sides and back, and use a smaller tip on the front strap and underside of the trigger guard (which I also slightly undercut, and rounded on the left side where it hits the middle finger's knuckle), and did a little memory pad on the left side of the frame for the offhand thumb.

Frankly, I really like how it turned out...I can't believe people actually pay money to do something like this. The whole project took me under 2 hours (including breaks), and cost less than $20 (which is what I paid for the wood burning pen that I used, but I bought that a month ago for another project)...

Feel free to NOT stipple your own possum...this is by no means a requirement, and is also not your gun. ;)

Its definitely a different look than I have seen before. How is the grip with the identions being that large?

The grippy-ness is perfect (for me)...I don't like a really aggressive grip on the back/sides, and the larger tip worked great there. The smaller tip around the front strap is noticeably grippier than the rest.

I don't think I'd have the guts to try that, but it looks like it's well done. In the end, only you can say if it was a success or not and it sounds like it was. Nice!

I'm very interested in knowing if this process helps when the gun is wet: during rain; from perspiration or even blood.
