I am in the market for a revolver in 41 magnum or 357 magnum for deer hunting. So far i have found the ruger blackhawk and the taurus tracker as the best options for me. It must have atleast a 6 inch barrel and be under 600 dollars. Does anyone know of any guns that would be good for me?

My Blackhawk is probably the strongest revolver I own.

That Ruger will hold up to max mag loads, from my hot handloads to hot production loads from Buffalo bore and the like.

A 6.5in barrel is going to optimize the magnum round, mine is very accurate and easy to shoot well.

An easy call to go with the Blackhawk.
Better quality, and it will hold up well to full power loads, plus its design will make dealing with recoil easier.

If you can find a redhawk in .41 mag I cant imagine you would be disappointed. Most would probably be a little north of 600 but it would be worthwhile taking a look. The redhawks are built like tanks and from what every one says can handle the hottest loads available.

U could probably find a ruger single action either blackhawk or bisley for under 600.00 if u shop carefully. My 41 is a ruger bisley single action with 7 1\2" barrel and I really like it.

There is a blued Blackhawk in the classifieds right now for under $500. I have also been looking at the 41 mag. I am leaning heavily towards a model 57/657. Ammo is expensive for factory loads, but I reload so that wont be a huge concern.

Yeah, go Blackhawk and feed it heavy wadcutters seated out to almost touch the barrel.
Keeps the powder space open for 2400, 296, H110 or something along those lines.
    It's like a one handed 40-65.
    :)
