Pricing a J.P. Sauer .357

I found a J.P. Sauer .357 magnum revolver for sale and was wondering what a good price would be on one of these guns. Has some wear in the nickel of the cylinder and the ejector rod is bare aluminum but is appears to be an overall good gun. Any ideas?

I may be mistaken, but I believe they were low price guns from the 60's and 70's, more or less like the RG line.

If it were me faced with the option of purchase of one of those... I'd pass.

I'd rather have a beat up Taurus or Rossi.

I don't know where some people get their info, but these are solid guns. If it is a Hawes pistol, then they were very well made. Just a simple google-fu and it shows very good reviews on these pistols.

what about Hawes /J.P. Sauer replicas

I would guess about $250-$300 ,they are well built pistols for the money

They were made in Germany and are quality guns. Depending on condition, it seems like $200-$250 is about what they go for on gunbroker.

I don't think it is. The ad says that part of the nickel is coming off the cylinder and that the ejector rod is bare aluminum.

He did say he'd throw in some ammo but I'm still leery.

I'm thinking about it because he had $350 on it and I got him down to $315. That still seems to high though
