Age of an EAA Witness

I just realized that my EAA Witness has a pretty low serial number, as in 00***.
I bought it used some time ago and never really gave the serial number any consideration.
Does anyone here have any information on how to date this pistol?

You can call EAA at 321-639-4842 and give them the serial number and they can tell you when it was imported to the USA. I have a low digit EAA Tanfoglio Stock 2 9mm small frame with a low serial number. It was imported into the USA in 2011.
