What do you like and why?

I am biased to my HK USP Compact. It's not super compact but with a good holster I can make it disappear under a tshirt an I'm 5'9" 135. I love the DA/SA trigger and the decocker. Although is not a 1911 or Sig srt its predictable. Runs any and everything I have ever fed it and asked for more. I have the HK45c also but don't care for the grip as much. Thats the only reason the USP wins out.

I'm a fan of the Dan Wesson CCO. It's small, reasonably light and thin. It shoots well and conceals well. Plus, the grip is adjustable with different thickness grips, different sized MSHs and different length triggers.

Those are exactly the two pistols I've been considering. The HK and DW. Not usually an HK guy but been thinking about something different. Love the DW CCO though.

P220 DA/SA with Carry Slide length and with Hogue grips. (Finger grooves on the grips) I like the long trigger pull on the first shot rather than a safety to forget and the decocker is good!

The P227 carry is very tempting but I'm concerned with the added weight of a metal frame

My deep concealment gun, Dan Wesson ECO in 45ACP. It weighs only 25 ounces unloaded VS the H&K's 28.5 and the Smith and Wesson Shields 20 ounces despite being a metal framed gun. Plus with the ECO you get the legendary 1911 trigger and overall thinness being just as thin as the shield at the slide. Its pricey but well worth it I think. I will stop being the resident Dan Wesson pimp now lol.

    What, no striker fired guns?

Here's my M&P 45c. Perfect size, great ergonomics, soft shooter, reliable, 8+1 capacity, and conceals easily. Great as a "home office defense" gun, as well. Lives in my desk drawer with a 10 round mag with X-grip and TLR-1 light installed when not running around town on my hip. Topped off with Ameriglo iDot night sights, it's a neat little .45 for those who like striker guns.

For shear size and concealability its hard to beat the Springfield Armory XDS 3.3 in .45 ACP.
Yeah, this. I'm not particularly an XD-s fan enough to want one for myself, but having shot my friend's a bunch I can say it's a great .45 in a G19-ish package.

Sig P320 Carry Model...only those who have shot the P320 know this.

My current carry gun is the M&P 45c, has been for almost three years and love it.

But it today I stopped and handle a P320 for the first time and think I have to have one. I believe it will replace my M&P as carry gun.

Probably my most carried handgun is a S&W4513TSW it is the early model 6+1 aqnd no rail. Not easy to find but the 457 looks to be very close. S&W also used to make a Chiefs Special that was a little more stocky than the 4513, it was close to a toss up between the two when I bought the 4513 but could only afford one. Jim.
