I have a 1974 Cobra Nickel 2 inch barrell that I have been thinking about getting rid of. It has a few very small pits and has been fired really very few times. The reasoning is I just don't like the nickel it just seems like to much upkeep for me with fingerprints , and the film they seem to get that you have to keep wiping them down. I was thinking about moving to something in the S&W Shield size. The question is as far as quality simpiicity and value what do you think just keep the Cobra or trade down? Oh and I thought about putting it on here but I have been off of here for a while and now I see we have new rules (which though my opinion doesn't count I don't agree with). I have been a member of this forum for a long time I just don't post much.

Length of membership does not matter.
What does matter is you knowing the rules and not following them and stating as much.

    Time out.

That Cobra is a classic. They don't make them anymore, so I would keep it.
S&W Shields are good guns and cheap.
No need to sell a classic to buy a $350 Shield.

It would be like selling a 69 Road Runner to buy a new Honda Civic.
