Sig p 250 question

today i bought a 21 round extended magazine i thought would fit in my p250. i believe mine is a compact slide length and a medium grip. there is actually a gap in between the mag and the bottom of the grip.

I am not sure if medium and larger refers to grip length or girth of the grip. This platform has been really frustrating for as modular as they claim it is.


Is there a grip that will close the gap and still fit my shorter slide?


i will post pictures that may help explain my question as well

It will take a full sized frame to close the magazine/frame gap. A sub-compact slide will fit a full sized frame as illustrated in this link. If you use the full sized frame you would probably want to cut back the front of the frame.

You just need the x-grip to close that gap.

Medium and large refer to grip girth-- think hand sizing.

The grip length is determined my model: subcompact get the short mags, compact gets medium mags, and full size takes longest mags.

You can get a "carry" sized frame which uses the compact slide length with a full size mag.

this is incorrect...the x grip is for a full size mag to work in a compact....i have the x-grip and it is much smaller than the gap...and it is not intended for this use if it did fit...additionally it wont work or serve a purpose.

You just need the x-grip to close that gap.

yes...sig's way of naming these is confusing. I am going to get one of the "Carry" grips based on this information. thanks for you input
