    After reading many back-yard pistol smiths posts in many Glock forums saying that I can reduce the trigger pull 1.5 pounds on my Glock 34 gen4 by only filing off the little nub on the trigger bar portion that lifts the firing pin plunger. I now find there are many little starts and stops before the "WALL" .
    Looking inside the mag well with a light, I notice there is only edge contact with the firing pin safety plunger.
    I prefer the wall with a smooth 4lb pound pull then...bang.
    Do you folks think I should replace the trigger bar assembly with a stock, unaltered trigger bar?waaa2 or just stick what I have?

    Yeah, get a new trigger bar, and put the file down.
    If you get a rounded off safety plunger with a lighter spring, that will help.
    Also, replace the 5 lbs trigger bar spring with a 6 lbs spring.
    That in addition to using a Ghost connector will help a lot.
    Polish = yes
    File = No

    I'll pile on (gently); put the file away, and replace the bar with a new one. Then pony up the couple bucks for the professionally made options to do what you intended to DIY.

    And hopefully chalk it up to lesson learned.

    get a gen3 trigger/trigger bar ... I think it has a less pronounced nub (anyone can verify??)
    been a few years since I worked on glock triggers.

    I'll second what others said. Polish = yes, file = no

    :bow: Thanks to everyone who responded to my post.
    JT has learned his lesson and has put his file down and is out of the pistol smith business.
    Now, please tell me where I can find a Glock armorer with the parts I need.
    I live in the Hwy 37 and Southport road area of Greenwood Indiana.

    Check out USDS a mile or so south of you at county line rd. Not sure if Charlie is still working with them or not. (INGOer NHT3) He's good.

    Personally I'd buy the part and take it to Charlie. Finding a part like that locally is gonna be tricky since its not usually replaced. I cant imagine there is much call for it.

    I have any parts that might be needed but would want to look at it to determine what it might need.
