They are soft shooting, accurate 45s. Getting holsters was a pain in the past, but now more companies are making holsters for them. You won't be disappointed with 15+1 of 45 goodness.

308jake is right. After shooting his I had to have one.

If you buy a regular FNX45 and want an FNX45 Tactical barrel/slide in FDE to put on it, I happen to have one. Let me know.

I have the FNX-45 Tactical in FDE with a TRL-1 and I LOVE it. Got a nice light bearing holster for it KT Mech and it is my go to gun when I am out on my property. Smooth shooting, accurate. Most expensive handgun I ever bought and I am not disappointed.

    It is huge.
Just consider if the size is a pro or con.
It really is a big gun. .. no other way to get 15+1 rds of .45 acp

Edit to add: I've never been disappointed in any FN handgun that ive fired.

Yep, it's a monster in just about every dimension, though my diminutive wife found it better than some much smaller guns. Only complaints I've heard are the stippling can be a bit harsh and the plastic they use is softer and/or thinner than most other makers. If you're one of those that crushes the grip will all your might, you may have some issues with mags dropping free. You can also flex the frame pretty significantly but only in unnatural directions (IE 2 hands twisting it which would never happen in actual use).

Shooting it's great, it makes hot .45s feel like nothing and you can't beat the capacity.

I've had one for years. Terrific shooter. Extremely smooth. Trigger is crisp. It is a huge gun, but can't fit 15 rounds of 45 ACP into a smaller frame. IMO, the perfect gun for HD.
