I purchased a Sig Sauer Masquito a couple years ago.
I fired it only a couple time. I would fire about 100+ rounds a time.
I took it to the range a couple days ago.
I could not go through a magazine with out 3 to 4 no fires.
I called Sig Sauer. I paid $55.00 shipping (past 1 year Warranty)
I was surprised when I received E-Mail notice of return so quickly.

"Sig Sauer Inc. is pleased to inform you that the following shipment left the factory today and will arrive at your place soon.

    We appreciate your business.

The attached Shipping Notification contains the details of your shipment.

If you find that you cannot read the attached file with a viewer on your machine, you can download a free PDF viewer
    from http://www.adobe.com."

    Test fired my sig.
50 rounds of Winchester Wildcat. I had about 10 no fires. all fired after second or third strike.
That is what I shot at the range.
Pulled out a box of Federal. I had 3 no fires, all fired second strike.
I had a lot of failure to feed.
The loading pin in the magazine pulled all the way out.
reinstalled functioned OK but one of the no fire.
When I edit my video. I hope to down load it.
I found the video download icon.
editing out the loading and Miscellaneous.

I bought one of those about 4 or so years ago, and ended up trading it off on a Ruger SR22. I could not stand how finicky that SIG was with ammo.....the Ruger is not so far.

Sig has good customer service, lost the front sight off my wife's mosquito, sent it out free no charge, and included a spare,

Shoot higher end high velocity ammo, eley edge, cci mini mag , federal 810 , wife's runs perfect, ....

I hope yours starts running better.....

Was thinking of buying one of these but after looking at many reviews decided against it. Apparently the only thing Sig about it is the name. From what i gather its a gsg firefly. Tons of horrible reviews so i believe i'll end up going with the ruger sr22

It's a worthless gun. It only runs high velocity ammo. I will not buy any 22LR semi auto that won't run bulk ammo. What the hell is the point of a 22lr that won't run bulk? Now if you want a gun that will shoot only 22LR ammo that is a dollar less than a box of 9mm than go for it. I would rather pay a dollar more per box and shoot some 9mm.

I have shot Phoenix 22LR semi autos that killed the Sig Mosquito in reliability.

I bought one to "get into sigs". Found out it's a GSG with Sig markings. And it runs like it. Sold it off and bought a 229 classic. (.22). Never looked back. Sigs ARE top of the line pistols, and I have several now. But the Skeeter isn't one of them. I wouldn't have one again. Mine wasn't terrible, it just wasn't good.

My son-in-law bought one for my daughter. She loved it...until she took it shooting. It had a lot of issues, and they got rid of it...

as much as i love sig, i wouldn't own a mosquito if you gave it to me!!!, the only ammo sig recommends is solid point mini mags, and i know a guy who has one and its iffy even with mini mags!

it's a gsg! sig didn't make mosquitos! just like walther makes colts 22 caliber ar15 and 1911's and smith's m&p 22 pistol (full size) and the hk416-22 rifle

now my gsg 522 ive sent it back the factory 3 times! and now its right! shoots like a dream and will shoot 1 hole groups!

1st time light firing pin strikes
2nd time out of battery fire (the rim ripped off) and they replaced the barrel
3rd time light firing pin strikes (i think it was due to the re-barreling)

    Would this be considered FRAUD?

General Motors was sued for putting Chevy motors in Cadillacs.
I paid for a Sig Sauer and received a German Sport Gun.

Walther made my Smith and Wesson M&P 22. GSG licensed the name. It's fairly common.

[edit] To be more accurate, Sig could have contracted GSG to make the guns for them rather than just licensing their name. Either way, take a look at a GSG Firefly and see if you don't see something familiar.

...and it was Chevy engines in Oldsmobiles. Specifically, I believe they advertised "Rocket 350s" with "Rocket" always being an Oldsmobile term. They installed Chevy 350s and did not correct the marketing. Personally, I would have preferred a Chevy 350 to a BOP (Buick, Olds, pontiac) 350, but that's neither here, nor there. I think it was 1977.
